Lead. Build. Certify.
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations at a three-operating-room outpatient surgery center in Newport Beach, California.
As the facility transitions to new ownership, we are actively pursuing Quad A accreditation and Medicare certification. We are looking for a proven ASC nursing leader who can take ownership of clinical readiness, help drive the facility through certification, and build the systems and team needed for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
● Lead clinical readiness for Quad A accreditation and Medicare certification.
● Assess existing policies, procedures, documentation, and operational systems; identify gaps and drive corrective action.
● Coordinate survey preparation and ongoing regulatory compliance.
● Oversee nursing operations across three ORs, preoperative services, and PACU.
● Recruit, develop, and lead a qualified clinical team.
● Oversee infection prevention, quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI), patient safety, and staff competencies.
● Establish effective clinical workflows, staffing plans, and sustainable compliance systems.
● Provide direct clinical coverage when necessary.
Required Qualifications
● Active California RN license in good standing.
● Previous ASC nursing leadership experience.
● Direct, hands-on experience with Quad A (formerly AAAASF) accreditation.
● Experience with Medicare certification and ASC regulatory compliance.
● Demonstrated experience preparing for surveys, identifying compliance gaps, and implementing corrective actions.
● Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, infection prevention, quality improvement, and patient safety.
● Experience managing clinical teams, staffing, and operational processes.
● Willingness to step into clinical duties when necessary.
Highly Preferred: Experience leading an initial ASC accreditation and Medicare certification process, opening a facility, or navigating a change in ownership.
